HNF Nicolai CD2 Family

The "CD2 Family" model from HNF Nicolai, launched in 2024, is a versatile and robust e-bike designed specifically for carrying heavy loads or for family outings. Priced at 8,490 euros, it offers an impressive combination of performance and functionality. The aluminium frame ensures stability and durability, whilst the maximum permissible weight of 280 kg makes it possible to transport both passengers and luggage with ease. Despite its robust construction, the bike itself weighs in at 82 kg.

In terms of braking performance, the CD2 Family is fitted with Tektro HD-T745 and HR HD-T740 disc brakes, which, with 180 mm rotors, ensure reliable braking performance. The Enviolo CVP HD gear system, with its CT Pure twist grip, offers intuitive operation and allows for stepless adjustment of the gear ratio across 99 gears. Power is transmitted via a high-quality Gates CDX system with a 55T crankset and a 28T sprocket, ensuring efficient power transfer.

For optimum visibility in traffic, two Supernova Mini 2 front lights and a Busch & Müller TOPLIGHT Line brex rear light with brake light function are integrated. The Ergotec EP-Cargo pedals, the Ergotec Lady Town handlebars and the Ergon GP10 L grips offer comfort and ergonomics, whilst the adjustable Ergotec Swell-RE stem allows for individual adjustment of the riding position.

The Ryde Andra 40 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Big Ben Plus and Super Moto-X tyres, which ensure stability and grip on a variety of surfaces. The hubs – HNF Nicolai at the front and Enviolo CVP HD at the rear – contribute to the bike’s overall stability. The Selle Royal ON Moderate saddle, together with the Ergotec Atar seatpost, offers additional comfort on longer rides.

Other practical features include Hebie Alumee mudguards, an Abus Shield frame lock for security, and a Racktime luggage rack capable of carrying up to 25 kg. The Bosch Smart System Performance Line Cargo motor, combined with the Bosch PowerTube 750Wh battery, provides powerful assistance, whilst the Bosch Koix display allows for easy control and monitoring. With a battery capacity of 750 Wh, the CD2 Family is ideally equipped for long distances and challenging tours.
