Haibike Trekking 6

The 2021 "Trekking 6" model from Haibike is a high-quality trekking bike, available for 2999 EUR. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features an M12 (1.75) x 148 mm thru-axle as well as a post-mount disc brake. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, which indicates a robust construction.

The Trekking 6’s braking system comprises Tektro T275 components, with a 180mm disc brake at the front and a 160mm disc brake at the rear. The brake levers are also made of aluminium and provide reliable braking performance. Gear shifting is handled by a Shimano Deore M5120 10-speed system, operated via a Shimano Deore M4100 trigger shifter.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour NEX E25 with a steel spring and 63mm of travel. It has a steel steerer tube that tapers from 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" and features an 8 x 100mm axle mount. Lighting is provided by a Haibike Skybeamer 150 front light with 50 lux and an AXA Blueline rear light, both powered by the system battery.

The rims are Schürmann Yak25 hollow-section aluminium rims, and the tyres are Continental Contact Urban, sized 55-584, with reflective strips for improved visibility. The hubs are from Haibike Components, with both front and rear models being the TheHub++. The saddle is an XLC MTB, mounted on an XLC Patent seatpost with a diameter of 31.6mm, made from aluminium.

Additional features include SKS Chromoplastik mudguards, an adjustable Ursus Mooi kickstand and a StandWell KM040 luggage rack. Power is provided by a Yamaha PW-SE motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 70Nm, enabling a maximum speed of 25km/h. The battery is a Yamaha InTube with a capacity of 500 Wh, and the display is a Yamaha Multi Switch.
