Haibike SEET 9

The 2021 "SEET 9" model from Haibike is a robust and versatile mountain bike that stands out for its high-quality build and solid spec. Priced at 749 EUR, it offers excellent value for money.

The SEET 9’s frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features a quick-release axle (5 x 135mm) as well as a post-mount disc brake. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, ensuring a stable and safe ride.

For the brakes, Haibike has opted for the Shimano MT200, fitted with a 180mm front and a 160mm rear brake disc. The brake levers are also from Shimano and deliver reliable and precise braking performance.

The SEET 9 is fitted with an 11-speed Shimano Deore M5100 groupset, operated via a trigger shifter. This enables quick and smooth gear changes. The crankset is also a Shimano Deore M5100 with 32 teeth, combined with a Shimano HG5100 cassette featuring 11–51 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X11 chain.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour XCR Air RL-R with remote lockout and 100mm of travel. It is air-sprung and has a steel steerer tube that tapers from 1 1/8" to 1 1/2", as well as a thru-axle (15 x 100mm), which provides additional stability.

Other features include non-slip plastic pedals, a 720mm-wide XLC Topflat handlebar, XLC MTB grips and an XLC aluminium stem in an A-Head design. The headset is a WTB NO.10 ED 1-1/8" semi-integrated model.

The SEET 9 is fitted with XLC X-630 D-WALL aluminium hollow-wall rims. Depending on the model, the tyres vary between Schwalbe Tough Tom (57-584 or 57-622) and Schwalbe Rapid Rob (57-584 or 57-622), which are suitable for different terrain conditions. The front and rear hubs are Shimano TX505.

The saddle is a comfortable XLC MTB saddle, mounted on a patented aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6mm.
