Haibike SEET 8

The “SEET 8” model from the “Haibike” brand, released in 2021, is a robust and versatile mountain bike suitable for a range of uses. Priced at 649 EUR, it offers good value for money.

The SEET 8’s frame is made from 6061 aluminium and is fitted with a quick-release skewer (5 x 135 mm) and a post-mount disc brake. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 120 kg, which is sufficient for most riders.

Braking is provided by the Shimano MT200 system with 160mm discs, which ensures reliable stopping power and control. The brake levers are also from Shimano and are matched to the braking system. The gear system is a Shimano Altus M2000 with 18 speeds, operated by the Shimano Acera M3010 trigger shifters. The front derailleur is a Shimano Alivio M312, which ensures precise gear changes.

The handlebars are XLC Topflat with a width of 720mm, fitted with XLC MTB grips for a secure grip. The stem is also from XLC and made of aluminium (A-Head). The headset is a WTB NO.10 ED 1-1/8" semi-integrated model.

The rims are XLC X-630 D-WALL hollow-chamber aluminium rims, which, in combination with Schwalbe Tough Tom tyres (57-584 / 57-622) and Schwalbe Rapid Rob (57-584 / 57-622) tyres, ensure good traction and stability. The front and rear hubs are Shimano TX505 and Shimano TX505-8 respectively.

The saddle is an XLC MTB model, mounted on a patented aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. The pedals are made of plastic and are non-slip, offering additional safety whilst riding.
