Haibike SDURO Trekking S 8.0

The "SDURO Trekking S 8.0" model from Haibike, released in 2020, is a versatile and high-performance e-bike that has been specially developed for trekking. Priced at 3499 EUR, it offers high-quality components and solid build quality, making it suitable for both everyday use and longer tours.

The frame of the SDURO Trekking S 8.0 is made from 6061 aluminium and was manufactured using gravity casting and hydroforming, ensuring high stability and durability. The frame is fitted with a quick-release skewer (5 x 135 mm) and a post-mount disc brake. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 24 kg.

Reliable braking performance is provided by 180 mm diameter Magura MT4 disc brakes, operated by Magura MT4 brake levers. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore XT T8000 20-speed system, complemented by Shimano Deore M6000 Rapidfire shifters. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Deore XT T781.

The e-bike’s fork is an SR Suntour MT E45 LO-R with a lockout function and steel spring, offering 63 mm of travel. It features a steel steerer tube with a tapered design ranging from 1 1/8" to 1 1/2", as well as a 15 x 100 mm thru-axle.

Optimal visibility on the road is ensured by the Spanninga Axendo 100 front light, with a brightness of 100 lux, and the Busch & Müller Toplight Line E Brake rear light. The pedals are Wellgo C29s.

The sprocket is a Shimano HG50 with 11–36 teeth, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a KMC e10S chain. The handlebars are Haibike Components TheBar + with a width of 720 mm, and the grips are XLC Sport bo2 screw-on grips. The stem is a Haibike Components TheStem ++, A-Head with a bar bore of 31.8 mm and an angle of 12˚.

The headset is an A-Head Tapered model, and the rims are Rodi Black Rock 21, eyeleted, hollow-section aluminium rims. The tyres are Schwalbe Energizer Plus, size 47-622, which feature puncture protection and reflective strips. The hubs are Haibike Components TheHub ++ at both the front and rear, and the spokes are black Sapim Leader. The wheelset consists of 28-inch wheels.

The saddle is a Haibike Components TheSaddle, mounted on a Haibike Components TheSeatpost ++ seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Chrome-plastic mudguards from SKS provide additional protection against splashes and dirt. An adjustable Ursus Mooi kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, whilst the StandWell System S-Pedelec luggage rack with XLC Carrymore allows for easy transport of luggage.

At the heart of the e-bike is the Yamaha PW-System motor with an output of 500W, enabling speeds of up to 45 km/h. The accompanying Yamaha lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 500 Wh. The display is a Yamaha LCD, which clearly shows all the key information.
