Haibike SDURO HardNine 3.0

The “SDURO HardNine 3.0” model from Haibike, released in 2020, is a versatile e-mountain bike available for €2,399. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features a quick-release skewer (5 x 135 mm) as well as a post-mount disc brake mount, making it both robust and lightweight. The maximum rider weight is 120 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of riders.

The braking system consists of Shimano MT400 components with 180mm aluminium brake discs at the front and 160mm at the rear. The brake levers are also made of aluminium and are from the Shimano MT401 model. The drivetrain features an SRAM NX 11-speed system, operated by an SRAM NX trigger shifter.

The fork is an SR Suntour XCR Air LO-R with a lockout function and offers 100mm of travel. It is air-sprung and features a steel steerer tube (1 1/8") and an 8 x 100mm threading. The pedals are aluminium freeride pedals, fitted with reflectors for added safety.

The cassette is a SRAM PG1130 with a range of 11–42 teeth, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a SRAM PC1110 chain. The handlebars are Haibike Components TheBar + Topflat with a width of 720 mm, complemented by Haibike MTB grips. The stem is also from Haibike Components and is called The Stem +, designed to fit the A-Head headset.

The rims are Rodi Black Rock 21, eyeleted and made from aluminium as hollow-section rims. The tyres are Schwalbe Smart Sam (57-622), which are known for their good traction and durability. The hubs are Shimano TX505 models at both the front and rear, and the spokes are Sapim Leader in black. The wheelset is 29 inches in size.

The saddle is a Haibike Components TheSaddle and the seatpost is a Haibike Components The Seatpost +, made from aluminium with a diameter of 31.6mm.

The SDURO HardNine 3.0 is powered by a Yamaha PW-ST System motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 70Nm. The maximum assisted speed is 25 km/h. The battery is a Yamaha lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 500 Wh. The display for controlling the motor is a Yamaha Side Switch.

Overall, the SDURO HardNine 3.0 offers a solid specification for the ambitious mountain biker, combining high-quality components with a powerful electric drive system.
