Haibike HardSeven 8

The “HardSeven 8” model from the “Haibike” brand, released in 2021, is a state-of-the-art e-mountain bike equipped with a wide range of technical features and priced at 3,499 EUR. The frame is made from robust 6061 aluminium and features an X-12 (1.00) x 148 mm thru-axle and a post-mount disc brake. The frame offers 20 mm of suspension travel and supports a maximum rider weight of up to 120 kg.

The HardSeven 8’s braking system comprises Shimano M6100 aluminium brakes with 203mm discs at the front and 180mm discs at the rear. The brake levers are also Shimano M6100 models and are made of aluminium. The drivetrain consists of the Shimano Deore XT M8100 Shadow Plus with a 12-speed system, controlled by the Shimano Deore M6100 trigger shifter.

The HardSeven 8’s fork is a RockShox Revelation RC air fork with 120mm of travel, a 1 1/8" – 1 1/2" tapered steel steerer tube and a 15 x 110mm Boost thru-axle. The pedals are aluminium freeride pedals fitted with reflectors. The sprocket is a Shimano HG6100 with 10–51 teeth, and the drivetrain is powered by the Shimano CN-M6100 chain.

The handlebars are XLC Topflat with a width of 740mm, whilst the grips are XLC MTB grips. The stem is also made of aluminium and is an A-Head model from XLC. The headset is an A-Head Tapered. The rims are Rodi Tryp 30, eyeleted, hollow-section aluminium rims, and the tyres are Schwalbe Nobby Nic Evo, size 70-584.

The front hub is a Shimano MT400-B and the rear hub is a Shimano MT410. The saddle is an XLC MTB model, and the seatpost is a remote-controlled dropper post with a diameter of 31.6 mm, also made of aluminium and telescopic.

At the heart of the e-mountain bike is the Yamaha PW-ST System motor, delivering 250W of power and 70Nm of torque, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h. The battery is an InTube model with a capacity of 630 Wh, and the display is the Yamaha Side Switch.
