Haibike HardSeven 6

The 2023 "HardSeven 6" model from Haibike is a high-performance and versatile e-mountain bike designed for challenging off-road riding. Priced at EUR 3099, it offers an impressive range of features and innovative technologies that will appeal to both beginners and experienced riders.

The HardSeven 6’s frame is made from robust 6061 aluminium and is fitted with an X-12 (1.00) x 148 mm thru-axle and a post-mount disc brake. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, which is indicative of a solid and stable construction. Braking performance is provided by Tektro M275 brakes with a diameter of 180 mm and the matching aluminium brake levers.

The HardSeven 6 is fitted with a Shimano Deore M4100 10-speed drivetrain, whilst the shift levers are Shimano Deore M4120 trigger shifters. The SR Suntour XCM34 NLO DS fork with steel spring/oil offers 120 mm of travel and is fitted with an aluminium steerer tube (1 1/8 – 1 1/2'' tapered) and a 15 x 110 mm Boost thru-axle. This ensures excellent shock absorption and control on uneven terrain.

The bike features aluminium freeride pedals with reflectors, a steel crankset with 38 teeth and a Shimano M4100 cassette with 11–42 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC e10S chain. The handlebars are XLC Topflat with a width of 740 mm, complemented by XLC MTB grips and an XLC aluminium stem in an A-Head design. The headset is also in the A-Head Tapered format.

The Rodi Tryp 30 rims are eyeleted and made from aluminium with a hollow-chamber construction, making them particularly sturdy and durable. The WTB Ranger Comp tyres, size 65-584, offer excellent grip and traction on a wide variety of surfaces. The front and rear hubs are Haibike aluminium hubs, connected by black Sapim Leader spokes.

The XLC MTB saddle and the XLC Patent aluminium seatpost, with a diameter of 31.6mm, ensure a high level of comfort and stability. The HardSeven 6 is powered by a Yamaha PW-ST System motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 70Nm, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25km/h. The battery is integrated into the tube and has a capacity of 630 Wh, providing sufficient power for extended rides. The Yamaha Side Switch display allows for easy control and monitoring of the system, whilst the 4A fast charger ensures the battery recharges quickly.
