Haibike HardSeven 4

The “HardSeven 4” model from the “Haibike” brand, released in 2023, is a versatile e-mountain bike suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Priced at 2,699 EUR, it offers a good balance between performance and features.

The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features an X-12 (1.00) x 148 mm thru-axle as well as a post-mount disc brake mount. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, which guarantees a robust construction and high load-bearing capacity.

The braking system consists of Tektro M275 disc brakes with a diameter of 180 mm, combined with Tektro M275 aluminium brake levers. These ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is provided by the Shimano Alivio M3100 system, which features nine gears and is operated via Shimano Alivio M3100 trigger shifters.

The SR Suntour XCM32 Boost DS fork, with steel spring and oil damping, offers 120 mm of travel and is fitted with an aluminium steerer tube that tapers from 1 1/8 to 1 1/2 inches. The fork uses a 15 x 110 mm thru-axle in the Boost standard, which provides additional stability.

The bike is fitted with aluminium freeride pedals with reflectors, ensuring safety and comfort. The crankset is made of steel and has a chainring with 38 teeth. The cassette is a SunRace CSM90 with a 11–36-tooth range, and the drivetrain is powered by a KMC e9S chain.

The handlebars are XLC Topflat with a width of 720 mm, whilst the grips are Haibike MTB grips. The stem is also by XLC and made of aluminium, in an A-Head design. The headset is an A-Head Tapered model.

The rims are Schürmann Yak25, eyeleted and constructed as hollow-section aluminium rims. The tyres are Impac Smart Pac in size 57-584. Both hubs, front and rear, are made of aluminium and are from Haibike, as are the black Sapim Leader spokes.

The saddle is an XLC MTB model, and the seatpost is made of aluminium with a diameter of 31.6 mm in a patented design.

The bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Line motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 65Nm. The motor provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 400 Wh, which is controlled via the Bosch Purion display. A Bosch Compact Charger with a charging current of 2A is used to charge the battery.
