Haibike HardNine 4

The 2023 Haibike HardNine 4 is a versatile e-mountain bike, available for 2,699 EUR. The frame is made from robust 6061 aluminium and features an X-12 (1.00) x 148mm thru-axle and a post-mount disc brake, ensuring stability and safety. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg.

The HardNine 4’s braking system consists of Tektro M275 disc brakes with a diameter of 180 mm and the matching aluminium Tektro M275 brake levers, which deliver reliable braking performance. The gear system is provided by the Shimano Alivio M3100 with 9 speeds. The gear levers are also Shimano Alivio M3100 trigger shifters, which enable precise and rapid gear changes.

The SR Suntour XCM32 Boost DS fork, featuring a steel spring and oil damping with 120mm of travel, ensures a comfortable ride on uneven terrain. It is fitted with an aluminium steerer tube (1 1/8 – 1 1/2'' tapered) and a 15 x 110mm Boost thru-axle.

The bike is fitted with aluminium freeride pedals featuring reflectors, which provide additional safety when cycling on public roads. The crankset is made of steel and is size 38. The SunRace CSM90 sprocket offers a gear ratio of 11–36 teeth, whilst power is transmitted via a KMC e9S chain.

The handlebars are XLC Topflat with a width of 720 mm, and the grips are Haibike MTB grips, which offer a good grip. The stem is an XLC aluminium A-Head, whilst the headset is an A-Head Tapered model.

The rims are Schürmann Yak25, eyeleted and made of aluminium. The Impac Smart Pac tyres (57-622) ensure good grip on various surfaces. The front and rear hubs are Haibike aluminium hubs, and the spokes are Sapim Leader in black.

The saddle is an XLC MTB model, and the seatpost is made of aluminium (Patent, 31.6mm), which provides additional comfort.

At the heart of the HardNine 4 is the Bosch Performance Line motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 65Nm, which assists up to speeds of 25km/h. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 400 Wh and is charged using the Bosch Compact Charger 2A. The Bosch Purion display offers simple and intuitive control of the e-bike system.
