Green’s Sussex

The “Sussex” model from the “Green’s” brand, launched in 2021, is a versatile e-bike that comes into its own both in the city and on longer rides. Priced at EUR 2,199, it offers a solid spec tailored to the needs of everyday cyclists and leisure riders. The aluminium frame ensures a robust yet lightweight construction, with the bike’s total weight coming in at 25 kg.

The braking system consists of Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes, fitted to both the front and rear, supplemented by a coaster brake, ensuring safe deceleration. The bike is fitted with a Nexus hub gear system, operated via a Nexus twist grip and offering a total of seven gears. This combination allows for comfortable and reliable gear selection, which proves particularly useful in urban environments.

The suspension fork provides additional comfort on uneven roads and paths. For lighting, the Sussex is fitted with a Herrmans H-One front light with a parking light function and an AXA rear parking light, both of which are battery-powered and thus ensure visibility even when the bike is stationary. The 38-tooth crankset complements the drivetrain, which is assisted by the Bosch Active Line motor. The 400 Wh lithium-ion battery provides sufficient power for extended rides, whilst the Bosch Purion display enables intuitive control and monitoring of the systems.

Other features include an adjustable stem, aluminium hollow-section rims, Schwalbe Citizen tyres in size 47-622 and stainless steel spokes, which contribute to the bike’s durability. The Selle Royal Wave saddle and the Patent seatpost ensure comfort whilst riding. Practical details such as SKS mudguards, a side stand, an AXA lock suitable for a cable lock, and a sturdy aluminium luggage rack round off the features and make the Sussex a reliable everyday companion.
