Green’s Cornwall 400

The “Cornwall 400” model from the “Green’s” brand, launched in 2021, is a versatile and well-equipped e-bike that, at a price of 2,399 EUR, is positioned in the mid-range category. The frame is made of aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight construction. Weighing 24 kg, it is well within the usual range for an e-bike in this category.

The Cornwall 400’s braking system consists of Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes, fitted to both the front and rear. In addition, the rear wheel features a coaster brake, which provides extra safety. The bike is fitted with a Nexus hub gear system, operated via a Nexus twist grip and offering a total of seven gears. This allows for comfortable and straightforward adaptation to different riding conditions.

The suspension fork provides comfortable damping on uneven terrain, whilst lighting is provided by an LED front light and an AXA Blueline rear light. Power for the lights is supplied by a battery-powered dynamo, ensuring a constant light output. The crankset, featuring a 38-tooth chainring, provides efficient power transfer in conjunction with the gear system.

The adjustable stem allows for individual adjustment of the riding position, whilst the aluminium hollow-section rims and Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres in size 42-622 ensure durability and good grip. Stainless steel spokes contribute to the stability of the wheels. The Selle Royal Rio saddle and the suspension seatpost provide additional comfort on longer rides.

SKS mudguards are fitted to protect against dirt and wet conditions, and a practical side stand makes it easy to park the bike. An AXA Solid Plus lock provides protection against theft. The aluminium luggage rack with a flap allows you to carry luggage or shopping.

The Cornwall 400 is powered by a Bosch Active Line Plus motor, which, combined with a 400 Wh lithium-ion battery, provides reliable assistance. The Bosch Intuvia display provides all the key information whilst riding and is designed to be user-friendly. Overall, the Cornwall 400 is a well-equipped e-bike that is suitable for both daily commuting and leisure rides.
