Green’s Bristol 400

The “Bristol 400” model from the “Green’s” brand, released in 2020, offers a balanced combination of comfort, performance and functionality at a price of 2299 EUR. The bike’s frame is made of aluminium, resulting in a total weight of 22 kg and thus providing a solid yet manoeuvrable riding experience. The Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes, supplemented by a coaster brake, offer reliable stopping power and control in a variety of riding situations.

For gear changes, the bike is fitted with a Nexus 7-speed system, controlled via a Nexus twist grip, which allows for easy and precise gear adjustment. The suspension fork provides additional comfort on uneven terrain, whilst the suspension seat post further enhances riding comfort.

Lighting is provided by an AXA Blueline 30 Lux LED front light and an AXA rear light, both of which are battery-powered, ensuring safety even in the dark. The 38-tooth crankset and the adjustable stem contribute to the bike’s customisability. The Bristol 400 is fitted with aluminium hollow-section rims and Schwalbe Energizer tyres in size 40-622, mounted on stainless steel spokes, which provide stable handling.

The wheel set comprises 28-inch wheels, which ensure a smooth and efficient ride. Practical features such as plastic mudguards, a side stand and a Trelock lock round off the package. The aluminium luggage rack is not only robust but also houses the integrated battery.

Power is provided by the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, which operates in combination with a 400 Wh Li-ion battery weighing 2.6 kg. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface for controlling the electric assistance and provides all the key information at a glance. Overall, the Green’s Bristol 400 is a well-designed e-bike model that is suitable for both everyday use and longer rides.
