GIANT Trance X E+ 2

The 2023 “Trance X E+ 2” from GIANT is a high-quality e-mountain bike designed for challenging trails and versatile off-road riding. The price for this model is 5,899 EUR. The frame consists of an AluxX SL main frame with a Maestro rear triangle, complemented by a carbon swingarm. With 140 mm of travel and a geometry flip-chip, the bike offers adaptability and comfort. The integrated speed sensor and compatibility with the EnergyPak Plus enhance the bike’s functionality. The SRAM UDH derailleur hanger ensures reliable gear-changing performance.

The brakes are Shimano Deore BR-M6120 (4-piston) with 203 mm rotors, which, in combination with the Shimano Deore BL-M6100 brake levers (I-SPEC EV), enable precise and powerful braking. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano SLX M7100 Shadow+ 12-speed system, operated via Shimano Deore SLX M7100 shift levers (I-SPEC EV). An MRP 1X HD2 chain guide ensures additional security and stability for the chain.

Front suspension is provided by a FOX 36 Rhythm fork with GRIP damping and 150 mm of travel, whilst the rear suspension is handled by a FOX Float DPS Performance shock with EVOL technology and custom tuning. The bike is fitted with flat pedals, and the crankset consists of a Praxis e-Cadet+ crank with a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Deore HG-M6100 with a gear ratio of 10-51T, and the drivetrain uses a KMC e.12 Turbo chain, which is specially optimised for e-bikes.

The handlebars are GIANT Contact 35 Trail with a 20 mm rise, and the grips are GIANT Tactal Pro single lock-on. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL 35. The rims are GIANT AM 29" Tubeless Ready with an internal width of 30 mm, fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" tyres at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29 x 2.6" tyres at the rear, both foldable, tubeless, EXO+ and featuring a 3c MaxxTerra rubber compound. The hubs are Shimano MT410 and the spokes are a combination of Sapim Race and Sapim E-Lite.

The saddle is a GIANT Romero, mounted on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with variable length depending on frame size (S: 125 mm, M: 150 mm, L/XL: 170 mm). The bike also comes with a tubeless kit containing sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions.

The bike is powered by a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2 motor, developed by Yamaha, which delivers 85 Nm of torque. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated 800 with a capacity of 800 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. The display is SG & ANT+ compatible and the charger is a GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger with an output of 6A.
