GIANT Trance X E+ 1

The "Trance X E+ 1" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a state-of-the-art e-bike designed specifically for demanding trail riding. It is available at a price of 6599 EUR and offers a wide range of technical features that ensure outstanding performance and reliability.

The frame consists of an AluxX SL main frame with a Maestro rear triangle and Flip-Chip geometry. A carbon rocker arm and an integrated speed sensor are also included. The frame offers 140 mm of travel and is compatible with the EnergyPak Plus as well as a 12 x 148 mm SRAM UDH derailleur hanger.

Braking is provided by the Shimano Deore XT BR-M8120 system with 4-piston calipers and discs measuring 220 mm at the front and 203 mm at the rear. The brake levers are Shimano Deore XT M8100, I-SPEC EV, which deliver precise and reliable braking performance. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore XT M8100 Shadow+ system with 12 speeds, controlled by the Shimano Deore XT M8100 shifter, also I-SPEC EV.

The bike is fitted with a FOX 36 Performance fork, which features GRIP damping and 150 mm of travel. The rear shock is a FOX Float X Performance EVOL, which has been specially tuned and comes in 185x52.5 mm dimensions with a TrunnionMount. The pedals are flat pedals and the crankset is a Praxis e-Cadet+ with a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette is a Shimano SLX CS-M7100 with a gear ratio of 10–51T.

The drivetrain is supported by a KMC e.12 Turbo chain with EcoProteq coating, which is specially optimised for e-bikes. The handlebars are GIANT Contact 35 Trail with a 20 mm rise, complemented by GIANT Tactal Pro single lock-on grips and a GIANT Contact SL 35 stem.

The rims are GIANT AM 29" Tubeless Ready with an internal width of 30 mm, fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29 x 2.6" at the rear, both foldable, tubeless, EXO+ and 3c MaxxTerra. The hubs are Shimano MT410 models, and the spokes are a combination of Sapim Race and Sapim E-Lite.

The saddle is a GIANT Romero model, mounted on a TranzX Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm, the adjustment range of which varies depending on frame size (S: 120–150 mm, M: 140–170 mm, L/XL: 170–200 mm). The bike also comes with a tubeless kit comprising sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions.

The motor is a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2, powered by Yamaha, which delivers a torque of 85Nm. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated 800 with a capacity of 800 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. The display is SG & ANT+ compatible. A GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger with a charging capacity of 6A is included for recharging.
