GIANT Trance X Advanced Pro 1

The “Trance X Advanced Pro 1” model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a state-of-the-art mountain bike designed for challenging trails and versatile use. The price of this premium bike is 7599 EUR.

At the heart of the Trance X Advanced Pro 1 is the Advanced full-carbon frame, which is fitted with a Maestro rear suspension system and features a carbon rocker arm. The frame offers 135 mm of travel and is equipped with a geometry flip-chip, allowing the geometry to be adjusted. The maximum tyre clearance is 2.5 inches, and the maximum chainring size is 34T. An SRAM UDH derailleur hanger ensures compatibility and easy maintenance.

Braking performance is provided by SRAM G2 RSC brakes with four pistons and disc sizes of 200 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also SRAM G2 RSC and offer precise control and modulation. The drivetrain is a SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed system, which provides a wide gear range. The shifter is also from the GX Eagle series.

The bike’s suspension consists of a FOX 36 Factory LiveValve fork with GRIP2 damping and 150 mm of travel, as well as a FOX Factory LiveValve rear shock, which is specially tuned and fitted with a TrunnionMount. This combination ensures excellent damping characteristics and control on challenging trails.

The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB Pressfit, whilst the crankset consists of an SRAM GX Eagle with a 30T chainring and a 55 mm chainline. The cassette is a SRAM GX Eagle XG-1275 with a range of 10–52T, allowing for optimal adaptation to different types of terrain.

The handlebars are GIANT Contact SLR TR35 Carbon with a 20 mm rise, whilst the grips are GIANT Tactal Pro Single Lock-On. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL 35, which ensures a stable connection between the handlebars and the fork.

The wheelsets consist of GIANT TRX 2 29 carbon rims, which are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29x2.5WT at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29x2.4WT at the rear, both in the 3C MaxxTerra EXO TR version. The bike is supplied tubeless, which reduces weight and increases puncture resistance.

The hubs and spokes are also from the GIANT TRX 2 range, ensuring a consistent and reliable wheel build. The saddle is a GIANT Romero SL, mounted on a TranzX Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm. Depending on the frame size, the seatpost offers an adjustment range of 120–200 mm.

In addition, the bike comes with a tubeless kit containing sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions. Pedals are not included.
