GIANT Trance X Advanced E+ LTD

The "Trance X Advanced E+ LTD" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a state-of-the-art e-mountain bike that stands out for its first-class technical features and high-quality components. Priced at EUR 12,799, it is aimed at discerning riders looking for a powerful and reliable e-bike.

The frame of the Trance X Advanced E+ LTD consists of a carbon main frame and rear triangle and features the Maestro rear triangle with Flip-Chip geometry as well as a carbon rocker arm. The integrated speed sensor and EnergyPak Plus compatibility complement the advanced design. The frame offers 140 mm of travel and is fitted with a 12 x 148 mm SRAM UDH dropout.

Braking performance is provided by SRAM Code RSC brakes with 4-piston calipers and 220/200 mm discs, combined with SRAM Code RSC brake levers. The drivetrain consists of a SRAM XO1 Eagle AXS 12-speed system, controlled by the SRAM AXS Rocker Paddle shifter. An MRP 1X HD2 chain guide ensures additional security and precision.

Suspension is provided by the FOX 36 Factory LiveValve fork with GRIP2 damping and 150 mm of travel, as well as the FOX Float X Factory LiveValve shock with TrunnionMount and custom tuning. The crankset is made from Praxis Performance Carbon with a SRAM X-SYNC Eagle 36T chainring, whilst the cassette is a SRAM XG-1299 with a 10–52T range.

The bike’s cockpit is fitted with a GIANT Contact SLR carbon handlebar-stem unit, which allows for a reach adjustment of 40/45/50 mm and a width of 800 mm. The GIANT Tactal Pro single lock-on grips offer additional comfort and control. Flat pedals are fitted.

The wheelsets consist of Zipp 3MOTO carbon rims with an internal width of 30 mm, which are tubeless-ready. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" foldable, tubeless, EXO+, 3c MaxxTerra at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29 x 2.6" foldable, tubeless, EXO+, 3c MaxxTerra at the rear, although the bike is supplied with inner tubes. The hubs and spokes are also from Zipp 3MOTO.

The saddle is a GIANT Romero SL, mounted on an SRAM Reverb AXS Vario seatpost with a seatpost diameter of 30.9mm and varying travel lengths depending on frame size (S: 125mm, M: 150 mm, L/XL: 170 mm). A tubeless kit, including sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions, is also included in the scope of delivery.

The Trance X Advanced E+ LTD is powered by a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2 motor, developed by Yamaha, which delivers 85Nm of torque. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated with a capacity of 800 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. The display is SG & ANT+ compatible. Charging is carried out using the GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger with a charging current of 6A.
