GIANT Trance X Advanced E+ EL 2

The "Trance X Advanced E+ EL 2" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-mountain bike that stands out for its advanced technical features and robust construction. Priced at 6799 EUR, it offers a wide range of features suitable for both challenging trails and longer rides.

The bike’s frame consists of a carbon main frame and rear triangle and is fitted with the Maestro rear triangle system, which features a geometry flip chip. This allows the geometry to be adjusted to suit different riding conditions. The frame offers 140 mm of travel and is fitted with an SRAM UDH derailleur hanger, which provides additional stability and precision. It also features an integrated speed sensor, and the bike is compatible with the EnergyPak Plus (WB Style).

For the brakes, GIANT has opted for the Shimano SLX BR-M7120 system with 4-piston calipers and 203 mm rotors, which, together with the Shimano SLX BL-M7100 brake levers (I-SPEC EV), deliver outstanding braking performance. The drivetrain consists of the Shimano SLX M7100 Shadow+ 12-speed groupset and the matching shifter, also I-SPEC EV. An MRP 1X HD2 chain guide ensures additional security and stability for the chain.

The suspension fork is a FOX 36 Performance with GRIP damping and 150 mm of travel, whilst the rear shock is a FOX Float DPS Performance EVOL, which has been specially tuned and measures 185x52.5 mm, fitted with a TrunnionMount. The crankset is from Praxis e-Cadet+ and is fitted with a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Deore HG-M6100 with a 10–51T range.

The bike features GIANT Contact 35 SL Trail handlebars with a 20 mm rise and GIANT Tactal Pro single lock-on grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL 35. The rims are GIANT AM 29"/27.5", tubeless-ready with an internal width of 30 mm, fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.50" and Maxxis Dissector 27.5 x 2.4" tyres, both foldable, tubeless and featuring EXO protection. The hubs are Shimano MT410 models, and the spokes are Sapim Race and Sapim E-Lite.

The saddle is a GIANT Romero, mounted on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm (S: 125 mm, M: 150 mm, L/XL: 170 mm). A tubeless kit is also supplied, comprising fluid, valves, tyre levers and a valve core remover, as well as instructions.

The motor is a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2, powered by Yamaha, delivering 85 Nm of torque. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart InTube with a capacity of 400 Wh, compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender in a water bottle design. The display is SG & ANT+ compatible, and the charger is a GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger Compact with an output of 4A.
