GIANT Trance X Advanced E+ 2

The "Trance X Advanced E+ 2" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a state-of-the-art e-mountain bike designed for challenging off-road riding. The price for this model is 6999 EUR. It features a robust and lightweight frame, with both the main frame and the rear triangle made from carbon. The Maestro rear triangle with Flip-Chip geometry and the carbon rocker arm offer precise suspension tuning and 140 mm of travel. The frame is also fitted with an integrated speed sensor and is compatible with EnergyPak Plus, which enhances the bike’s versatility. The SRAM UDH derailleur hanger ensures reliable gear-changing performance.

The braking system consists of Shimano SLX BR-M7120 (4-piston) brakes with 203mm discs, controlled by Shimano SLX BL-M7100 brake levers (I-SPEC EV). The drivetrain is a Shimano SLX M7100 Shadow+ 12-speed system, operated by the Shimano SLX M7100 shifter, also featuring I-SPEC EV. An MRP 1X HD2 chain guide provides additional chain stability.

For suspension, the bike is fitted with a FOX 36 Performance fork with GRIP damping and 150mm travel, as well as a FOX Float DPS Performance shock with EVOL technology and TrunnionMount, which has been specially tuned. The bike comes with flat pedals and a Praxis e-Cadet+ crankset, as well as a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Deore HG-M6100 with a 10–51T range, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a KMC e.12 Sport chain, which is optimised for e-bikes.

The cockpit consists of a GIANT Contact 35 Trail handlebar with 20mm rise, GIANT Tactal Pro single lock-on grips and a GIANT Contact SL 35 stem. The rims are GIANT AM 29", tubeless-ready with an internal width of 30mm, and are fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" and Maxxis Dissector 29 x 2.6" tyres, which are foldable, tubeless and feature EXO+ and 3c MaxxTerra technology. The hubs are Shimano MT410 and the spokes are Sapim Race / Sapim E-Lite.

The GIANT Romero saddle sits on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with variable length depending on frame size (S: 125mm, M: 150 mm, L/XL: 170 mm). The bike also comes with a tubeless kit containing sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions.

The Trance X Advanced E+ 2 is powered by a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2 motor, developed by Yamaha, which delivers a maximum torque of 85Nm. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated with a capacity of 800 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. The display is SG & ANT+ compatible and the charger is a GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger with an output of 6A.
