GIANT Stormguard E+ 1

The "Stormguard E+ 1" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-bike available at a price of 7999 EUR. The frame consists of an AluxX SL main frame with a StableLink rear triangle and an integrated speed sensor. It is also compatible with the EnergyPak Plus and features 100 mm of suspension travel, ensuring a comfortable ride.

The e-bike’s braking system comprises Shimano Deore BR-M6120 (4-piston) brakes with 203 mm discs and Shimano Deore BL-M6100 brake levers, ensuring reliable and powerful braking performance. Gear changes are handled by the Enviolo Automatiq Pure Controller, which enables precise and easy gear selection.

Front suspension is provided by a FOX AWL fork with RAIL damping and 100 mm of travel, Boost 15x110 mm, e-optimised. The rear shock is a FOX Float DPS measuring 165x38mm with a trunnion mount, which has been specially customised.

The bike is fitted with high-quality components such as the Supernova M99 Mini Pro front light with 260 lux and the Supernova E3. The pedals are made of aluminium and the crankset consists of a Praxis e-Cadet with a Gates CDX 46T chainring. The sprocket is a Gates 24T and power is transmitted via a Gates CDX Carbon belt. The handlebars are GIANT Contour Comfort Riser 31.8 with a 35 mm rise, and the grips are GIANT Connect Ergo Max Plus.

The stem incorporates the GIANT RideDash EVO display and has a 16° angle. The rims are GIANT AM 27.5, tubeless-ready with an internal width of 30 mm, and the tyres are Maxxis Rekon 27.5 x 2.6" foldable, tubeless-ready, EXO, supplied with an inner tube. The hubs are GIANT eTracker / Enviolo Heavy Duty Autoshift and the spokes are Sapim Race / Sapim Strong.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo GTS and the seatpost is a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm, although the travel varies depending on frame size (S: 100 mm, M: 125 mm, L: 150 mm, XL: 170 mm). A GIANT KSA18 kickstand, an ABUS Xplus battery-powered lock and a Floating MIK luggage rack are also included.

In addition, the bike comes with a tubeless kit comprising sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions. The motor is a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2 with an output of 85 Nm, powered by Yamaha. The battery consists of a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated 800 and an EP Plus 250 RangeExtender. The display is the GIANT RideDash Evo and the charger is a GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger with a charging capacity of 6A.
