GIANT Stance E+ EX

The "Stance E+ EX" model from GIANT, launched in 2023, is a versatile e-mountain bike designed for challenging off-road rides. Priced at 4299 EUR, this bike offers impressive specifications and well-thought-out technical features.

The Stance E+ EX’s frame consists of an AluxX SL main frame with a FlexPoint rear triangle, which ensures optimum suspension performance. The frame is also compatible with an integrated speed sensor and supports the EnergyPak Plus system. It has 125 mm of travel and features a 12 x 148 mm thru-axle as well as an SRAM UDH derailleur hanger.

Reliable braking performance is provided by the Tektro HD-M745 Orion brakes with 4-piston calipers and 203 mm rotors. The brake levers are also from the Tektro HD-M745 Orion series. The gear system consists of the Shimano Deore LinkGlide M5130 10-speed groupset, operated by the Shimano Deore LinkGlide M5130 shift lever. An MRP 1X HD2 chain guide ensures that the chain is kept securely in place even on challenging terrain.

The SR Suntour XCR 34 LO-R fork, with 140 mm of travel and a Boost 15x110 mm axle, provides ample suspension for uneven terrain. The SR Suntour Raidon R rear shock is specially tuned and measures 190x45 mm. Visibility is ensured by the GIANT Rekon E50 front light with 50 lux and the Axa BlueLine Steady E6.

The bike is fitted with aluminium platform pedals and features an FSA Comet crankset with an FSA MegaTooth 36T chainring. The cassette is a Shimano LinkGlide CS-LG400-10 with a 11–43T range, and power is transmitted via a Shimano LinkGlide CN-LG500 chain.

The GIANT Connect TR riser handlebars are 31.8 mm wide with a 20 mm rise, complemented by GIANT Tactal single lock-on grips and a GIANT Contact stem. The rims are GIANT AM 29" tubeless-ready with an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres vary depending on frame size: Maxxis Rekon 27.5 x 2.4" for size S and a combination of Maxxis Rekon 29 x 2.4" at the front and Maxxis Rekon 27.5 x 2.4" at the rear for sizes M/L/XL, all of which are foldable, tubeless and fitted with EXO protection.

The hubs are GIANT eTracker, with stainless steel spokes. The saddle is a GIANT Sport model, mounted on a GIANT seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm. A GIANT KSA 40 kickstand and a GIANT Rack-It MIK luggage rack complete the specification.

The Stance E+ EX is powered by a GIANT SyncDrive Sport2 motor, developed in collaboration with Yamaha, which delivers 75 Nm of torque. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated with a capacity of 625 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. Charging is handled by the GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger Compact charger, which delivers 4A.
