GIANT FastTour SLR

The "FastTour SLR" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a versatile and high-performance bike that is ideal for long tours and daily commuting. It is available at a price of 1599 EUR and offers a wide range of high-quality components and technical features.

The FastTour SLR’s frame is an AluxX SLR frame with a quick-release (QR) system, renowned for its lightness and robustness. The fork is a GIANT FastTour carbon fork with an OverDrive1 aluminium steerer tube and QR system, ensuring precise steering.

The braking system comprises Shimano BR-MT400 brakes with 160 mm discs and Shimano BL-MT401 brake levers, which ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The drivetrain comprises a Shimano Tiagra RD-4700 GS 10-speed rear derailleur, combined with Shimano Tiagra SL-4700 shift levers, which enable precise and smooth gear changes. The front derailleur is a Shimano Tiagra FD-4700.

Lighting is provided by the Busch & Müller LUMOTEC Eyc N Plus front light with 50 lux and a Busch & Müller Custom rear light, which ensure optimum visibility and safety on the road.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-RS500, and the crankset is a Shimano RS400 with 50/34T chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with a gear ratio of 11-34T, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X-10 chain.

The FastTour SLR’s handlebars are GIANT Connect XC, 620 mm wide, fitted with GIANT Contact Ergo Max grips. The stem is a GIANT Connect, 110 mm in length. The rims are GIANT S-R2, and the tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Racer in size 700x38c, supplied with inner tubes.

The hubs are Shimano DH-3D32 at the front and Formula GDC-1022 at the rear, connected by Sapim spokes. The saddle is a GIANT Contact Comfort, mounted on a GIANT D-Fuse seatpost. The bike is also fitted with a GIANT KSA18 kickstand and a Massload SMS luggage rack (without MIK Deck). Sunnywheel aluminium mudguards are also included.

The geometry of the FastTour SLR comprises a reach of 416 mm, a stack of 614 mm, a seat tube length of 550 mm and a top tube length of 615 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, the seat tube angle 72 degrees. The head tube length is 205 mm, the chainstay length 450 mm, the bottom bracket drop 70 mm, the fork offset 45 mm and the standover height 783 mm. The crank length is 175 mm and the wheelbase measures 1106 mm.
