GIANT Explore E+ Pro 0

The "Explore E+ Pro 0" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-bike designed for a wide range of uses. The price of this model is 4,999 EUR. The frame is made from robust AluxX material and is fitted with an integrated speed sensor, as well as being compatible with the EnergyPak Plus battery. The design also features a 12x148 mm axle and an SRAM UDH derailleur hanger.

The Explore E+ Pro 0 is fitted with Shimano Deore BR-M8100 brakes with 203 mm discs, which, in combination with the Shimano Deore BL-M8100 brake levers, ensure reliable and precise braking performance. The drivetrain features a Shimano Deore XT LinkGlide M8130 Shadow+, offering an 11-speed drivetrain. The shift levers are also Shimano Deore XT LinkGlide M8130 and feature I-SPEC EV integration.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour XCR 34 Air LO-R with 100 mm of travel and a Boost 15x110 mm axle, ensuring a comfortable ride across a variety of terrains. For optimum visibility, the bike is fitted with a Recon HL100 front light, which provides 100 lux, as well as an AXA NYX light with a brake light function.

The model features aluminium platform pedals and a forged alloy crankset with a 46T chainring and Direct Spider/Chainguard. The cassette is a Shimano LinkGlide CS-LG600-11 with an 11–50T range, whilst power is transmitted via the Shimano LinkGlide CN-LG500 chain.

The handlebars are GIANT Contour Comfort Riser 31.8 with a 35 mm rise, complemented by GIANT Connect Ergo Max Plus grips. The stem is a GIANT Contour with a 16° angle and an integrated RideDash EVO display. The rims are GIANT eX25, tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 25 mm. The tyres are Crosscut Gravel 1, 700x57c (622x57), foldable and also tubeless-ready, although they are supplied with inner tubes as standard.

The hubs are GIANT eTracker and the spokes are a combination of Sapim Race and Sapim E-Lite. The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Moderate Unisex, mounted on a GIANT seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm. A GIANT KSA40 kickstand ensures stability when parked, whilst an ABUS Xplus battery lock provides security.

The MIK HD luggage rack offers additional carrying capacity. At the heart of the drivetrain is the GIANT SyncDrive Pro2 motor with 85 Nm of torque, developed by Yamaha. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated 800 with a capacity of 800 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. The display is a GIANT RideDash Evo and the charger is a GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger with a 6A charging current.
