GIANT Entour E+ 1 RT

The “Entour E+ 1 RT” model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a versatile e-bike characterised by its extra-low AluxX frame, which allows for easy mounting. The price for this model is 2499 EUR.

Braking is provided by the Magura HS11 system, supplemented by a coaster brake, which, together with the Magura HS11 brake levers, ensures reliable deceleration. The gear system consists of a Shimano Nexus C3000-7D 7-speed hub gear, operated via a Shimano Nexus C3000-7 twist grip. The SR Suntour NEX fork with 50mm travel offers additional comfort on uneven terrain.

The bike’s lighting is provided by an Axa Blueline front light with 30 lux and a Spanninga Solo LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in traffic. The anti-slip pedals provide a secure grip, whilst the GIANT crankset with a 38T chainring and 18T sprocket, together with the KMC Z1e HX chain – which is specially optimised for e-bikes – ensure efficient power transfer.

The aluminium handlebars with a 30° backsweep and the GIANT Contact Ergo grips offer a comfortable hand position. The angle-adjustable stem, with a length of 100 mm and a handlebar width of 690 mm, allows for individual adjustment to suit the rider’s needs.

The GIANT rims, with an internal width of 19 mm, are fitted with CST Xpedium One tyres in size 700x45c (622x45c), which feature reflective strips for added safety in low-light conditions. The hubs consist of a Shimano HB-TX505 at the front and a Shimano Nexus 7 at the rear, supported by Sapim Leader and Sapim Strong spokes.

The Selle Royal Essenza Plus saddle and the 30.9 mm diameter suspension seatpost provide additional comfort. A GIANT KSA18 kickstand and a MIK luggage rack complete the specification.

The Entour E+ 1 RT is powered by a GIANT SyncDrive Core motor with 50Nm, supported by Yamaha. The GIANT EnergyPak Carrier battery, with a capacity of 400 Wh, provides the necessary power, which is controlled via the RideControl Dash 2-in-1 display. The GIANT EnergyPak FastCharger, with 4A output, ensures the battery charges quickly.

The frame geometry features a reach of 416 mm, a stack of 585 mm, a seat tube length of 535 mm and a top tube length of 595 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees, the seat tube angle is 73 degrees and the head tube length is 160 mm. The chainstay length is 445 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 60 mm, the fork offset is 50 mm and the standover height is 799 mm. The crank length is 175 mm and the wheelbase measures 1091 mm in total.
