GIANT ARX 20

The "ARX 20" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a versatile and robust children’s bike, available for 479 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from lightweight yet sturdy AluxX aluminium and features a quick-release (QR) mechanism, which makes it easy to handle. The ARX 20’s fork is also made from AluxX aluminium and contributes to the bike’s overall stability and durability.

The ARX 20’s braking system consists of V-brakes, controlled by V-Brake Junior brake levers. This combination offers reliable braking performance and ease of use, which is particularly important for younger riders. The gear system is controlled by a Shimano Altus RD-M310 rear derailleur and a Shimano Altus SL-M315 shifter, which together enable precise and smooth 8-speed gear changes.

The bike is fitted with a cartridge bottom bracket and a forged alloy crankset, which includes a 32-tooth chainring with a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200 with a 12–32-tooth range, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X8 chain, which is renowned for its durability.

Other features of the ARX 20 include GIANT Youth 25.4 handlebars and GIANT Junior grips, which ensure comfort and control. The stem is made from forged aluminium, providing additional stability. The rims are also made of aluminium and are fitted with Innova IB-3010 tyres in size 20x1.5 with a 60 TPI carcass. These tyres are supplied with inner tubes.

The hubs are made of aluminium and the spokes are made of stainless steel, which contributes to the bike’s durability and reliability. The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Jr., designed specifically for young riders, and the seatpost is made of aluminium with a diameter of 27.2 mm. The bike is also compatible with the GIANT KSA18 kickstand, which offers added convenience.
