GIANT Anthem Advanced Pro 2

The "Anthem Advanced Pro 2" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-quality mountain bike designed specifically for demanding riders. Priced at 5399 EUR, this bike offers a wide range of technical refinements and features.

The Anthem Advanced Pro 2 features an Advanced full-carbon frame and a FlexPoint PRO carbon rear triangle, offering 100 mm of suspension travel. The maximum tyre clearance is 2.4", and the maximum chainring size is 34T. This design guarantees high stiffness whilst also providing excellent damping, which is an advantage on challenging trails.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano Deore BR-M6100 disc brakes with 180 mm discs at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano – the Deore BL-M6100 model – and offer precise control. The gear system consists of a Shimano Deore XT M8100 Shadow+ 12-speed groupset, combined with Shimano Deore XT M8100 shift levers in the I-spec EV design, ensuring fast and reliable gear changes.

Front suspension is provided by a FOX 34 Float SC Performance fork with GRIP2 damping and 110 mm of travel. The rear shock is a FOX Float DPS Performance Elite, which has been specially tuned and is fitted in the 165x45 mm size with a TrunnionMount. Pedals are not included.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano Pressfit, whilst the crankset consists of a Shimano SLX M7120, fitted with a 32T chainring and a 55mm chainline. The cassette is a Shimano SLX M7100 with a 10–51T range, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X-12 chain.

The handlebars are GIANT Contact XC 35 with a width of 760 mm, fitted with GIANT XC Pro grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL XC 35 with a length of 70 mm. The rims are GIANT XCR 2 Carbon, tubeless-ready with an internal width of 25 mm, fitted with Maxxis Rekon Race tyres in size 29x2.4 EXO, which are supplied tubeless.

The hubs and spokes are also part of the GIANT XCR 2 system. The saddle is a Fizik Antares R7, mounted on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm (S–M: 125 mm, L–XL: 150 mm). The bike is also fitted with an MRP chain guide and comes with a tubeless kit (fluid, valves, tyre levers, valve core remover, instructions).

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 450 mm, a stack of 593 mm, a seat tube length of 420 mm and a top tube length of 604 mm. The head tube angle is 68 degrees and the seat tube angle is 76 degrees. The head tube length is 95 mm, the chainstay length is 435 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 42 mm. The fork offset is 44 mm and the standover height is 750 mm. The crank length is 175 mm and the overall wheelbase is 1159 mm.
