Excelsior Snatcher Diamant

The “Snatcher Diamant” model from Excelsior, launched in 2024, is an elegant and functional bicycle that represents excellent value for money at a price of 499 EUR. The frame is made of aluminium in a classic diamond design and measures 57 cm. Weighing just 10 kg, the bike is lightweight yet robust, with a maximum load capacity of 120 kg.

The Snatcher Diamant’s specifications are well thought-out and designed for efficiency. It features TEKTRO racing brakes at both the front and rear, which, together with the matching TEKTRO brake levers, provide reliable braking performance. The gearing consists of a simple single-speed freewheel, making the bike ideal for urban use, where straightforward operation and ease of maintenance are essential.

The bike’s fork is made of steel, providing additional stability. The bottom bracket is a THUN “Goal” with a length of 110 mm, whilst the aluminium crankset is from PROWHEEL. The chainring has a ratio of 46 teeth at the front and 16 teeth at the rear, offering a good balance between speed and power transfer. Power is transmitted via a KMC “Z-510” chain.

The handlebars are made of aluminium with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 600 mm, allowing for comfortable control. The grips are made of PVC and measure 125 mm in length. The stem is also made of aluminium and features an Ahead design.

The wheels are fitted with hollow-section rims, each with 36 zinc spokes. The tyres are KENDA 28-622, fitted to both the front and rear. The front hub is made of aluminium by KT, whilst the rear hub features a KT Flip Flop system, which allows for both fixed and free-wheel options.

The saddle is a road bike saddle, mounted on a patented aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm. Overall, the Excelsior Snatcher Diamant offers a combination of lightness, stability and minimalist design that is likely to appeal particularly to urban cyclists.
