Diamant 247 Deluxe (Einstieg: mittel)

The "247 Deluxe (Entry-level: mid-range)" model from Diamant, released in 2023, is a versatile, high-quality bicycle that, at a price of 1,799 EUR, falls within the mid-range price segment. The frame is made from Alpha Smooth aluminium and features a modern, clean look thanks to its internal cable routing and compatibility with belt drives. The Post Mount disc brake mounts highlight the frame’s technical sophistication. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 14 kg, making it a robust yet easy-to-handle model.

The Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, each with a 160 mm Shimano SM-RT30 Centre Lock disc mount, ensure reliable braking power in a variety of conditions. The Shimano Alfine gear lever enables precise shifting through the 11 gears, which, combined with the Gates CDN CenterTrack drivetrain, ensures a smooth and low-maintenance ride. The aluminium fork with straight legs and an axle-to-crown length of 450 mm is designed for disc brakes and also features lowrider mounts and dynamo cable openings.

Lighting is provided by the Herrmans H-Black MR8 front light and the Herrmans H-Trace rear light, both featuring LED technology and a parking light function, which enhances safety when cycling at night. The non-slip aluminium pedals with reflectors contribute to safety and provide a secure grip. The crankset consists of a Gates CDN S150 with 46 teeth and a crank arm length of 175 mm, whilst the cassette is a Gates CDC CenterTrack with 24 teeth.

The handlebars are aluminium low-risers with a width of 660 mm and a bend of 11 degrees, complemented by Bontrager Satellite Elite grips with aluminium clamps. The stem is a Bontrager Comp, Blendr-compatible, with a length of 90 mm and an angle of 7 degrees. The headset is made of steel, threadless and measures 1 1/8 inches.

The Bontrager H2 tyres, size 40-622, feature reflective strips and offer good grip and visibility, whilst the Bontrager Connection wheelset with hollow-section rims ensures stability. The saddle is a Brooks Cambium C19 Special, mounted on a Bontrager aluminium seatpost.

In addition, the bike is fitted with SKS plastic mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and a lightweight aluminium luggage rack with the MIK system, which has a maximum load capacity of 25 kg.
