Diamant 137 (Einstieg: hoch)

The "137 (High Step-Through)" model from Diamant, released in 2022, is a versatile bicycle that offers good value for money at a price of 2049 EUR. The frame is made from 200 Series Alpha aluminium and features a tapered head tube and internal Control Freak cable routing. It is also fitted with rack and mudguard eyelets and has a flat-mount disc brake mount and a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, making it robust and durable.

The front and rear Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes – each featuring Shimano MT900, Centre Lock rotors and a 160 mm diameter – ensure reliable braking performance. The front derailleur is the Shimano 105 R7000 with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The carbon fork is fitted with a thru-axle and offers mounting points for lowriders and other luggage racks.

The bike is fitted with a Herrmans H-Black MR8 front light with parking light and LED technology, whilst the rear light is a Busch & Müller Toplight 2C model, which features a rechargeable USB battery. The crankset consists of a Shimano GRX RX600 with a gear ratio of 46/30 and a crank arm length of 172.5 mm. The Bontrager Elite Gravel handlebars are 42 cm wide and fitted with Brooks Cambium handlebar tape. The integrated FSA headset has sealed cartridge bearings with dimensions of 1 1/8" at the top and 1.5" at the bottom.

The Bontrager GR1 tyres are tubeless-ready and have a width of 35-622 mm with brown sidewalls and puncture protection. The wheelset consists of Bontrager Connection hollow-wall rims with an internal width of 20 mm and Presta valves, combined with a Shimano hub dynamo and a Shimano RXC400 freehub hub.

The Selle Royal SRX saddle is mounted on a Bontrager aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm, a 12 mm offset and a length of 330 mm. SKS plastic mudguards provide additional protection against splashing water. A lightweight aluminium luggage rack completes the specification.

The bike’s geometry comprises a seat tube length of 52 mm, a top tube length of 54 mm, a head tube angle of 72 degrees and a seat tube angle of 73 degrees. The wheelbase is 102 mm, which contributes to stable handling. With a top tube height of 79 mm and other dimensions such as reach (38 mm), stack (59 mm), head tube length (16 mm) and chainstay length (43 mm), the model offers a balanced riding position.
