Diamant 018 (Einstieg: hoch)

The "018 (high step-through)" model from Diamant, released in 2023, offers a balanced combination of functionality and comfort at a price of 799 euros. The frame is made from Alpha Gold aluminium and is designed to accommodate a wide range of accessories, including DuoTrap S compatibility, internal cable routing and eyelets for a luggage rack and mudguards. The Post Mount disc brake mounts and the side stand mount round off the frame’s versatility. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, with a kerb weight of 15 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, each fitted with a 160 mm Shimano RT10 disc with a Centre Lock mount. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Altus M315 shifter with a 3-speed derailleur, paired with an 8-speed cassette (12–32 t) and a Shimano Tourney front derailleur. The Shimano crankset offers a gear ratio of 48/38/24 teeth.

Comfort is ensured by the SR Suntour X1 fork with adjustable spring preload and 60 mm of travel. Lighting is also well equipped with the Spanninga Brio LED front light and the Spanninga Vivo LED rear light with parking light function. The non-slip pedals with reflectors contribute to safety.

The handlebars are aluminium low-riser bars with a width of 690 mm and a rise of 25 mm, whilst the Bontrager XR Trail Comp grips provide a secure grip. The stem is a Bontrager Comp, 80 mm long and Blendr-compatible. The saddle, a Bontrager Arvada with steel rails, is 138 mm wide and is mounted on an aluminium seatpost.

The tyres are Schwalbe G-One Allround with RaceGuard puncture protection and reflective strips, fitted to a Bontrager Connection wheelset with hollow-section rims. A Shimano hub dynamo ensures a reliable power supply for the lights. The lightweight aluminium luggage rack and the SKS plastic mudguards offer additional practicality for everyday use.

With a seat tube length of 44 mm, a head tube angle of 71 degrees and a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, the bike offers an ergonomic riding position. The geometry is complemented by a top tube length of 59 mm, a wheelbase of 110 mm and a chainstay length of 46 mm. A Pletscher Comp 18 kickstand ensures the bike stands securely when parked. The model is supplied in packaging measuring 23 mm wide, 119 mm high and 189 mm long.
