Cube Touring ONE iridium´n´red

The 2021 “Touring ONE iridium’n’red” model from Cube offers a balanced combination of comfort, functionality and reliability at a price of 629 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite Trekking Comfort double-butted aluminium, which gives the bike a high level of stability and durability despite its weight of 17 kg.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm discs at both the front and rear. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano RD-M360 8-speed system, complemented by the Shimano Altus SL-M315 Rapidfire-Plus shift levers and the Shimano Tourney FD-TX800 front derailleur. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-TY301 with 48x38x28T and a length of 175 mm, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG31 with 11-34T. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC Z51 chain.

The SR Suntour NEX fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures additional riding comfort on uneven roads. For optimum visibility in traffic, the bike is fitted with a CUBE Shiny 50 front light and a CUBE Nano Steady rear light. The ACID PP trekking pedals provide a secure grip.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Trail Bars, 660 mm wide, combined with Natural Fit Comfort grips and a Satori Up2 Plus stem, which is adjustable and has a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a semi-integrated CUBE H863. The rims are CUBE ZX20 with 36 spokes and disc brakes, whilst the tyres are Schwalbe Range Cruiser Active K-Guard, sized 47-622.

The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo with quick-release and Centre Lock, and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-TX505 with quick-release and Centre Lock. The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence Comfort, secured to a CUBE Screwlock seat clamp with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

Additional features include ACID 53 mudguards, a CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand and an ACID Semi-Integrated Carrier, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter. Overall, the Cube Touring ONE iridium’n’red is a well-designed and robust trekking bike that is ideally suited to both everyday rides and longer tours.
