Cube Touring darkred´n´red

The "Touring darkred´n´red" model from Cube, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and attractive design. Priced at 729 EUR, it offers good value for money for leisure and everyday cyclists.

The bike’s frame is made from Superlite aluminium, featuring Trekking Comfort geometry and double-butted tubing. This ensures an optimal combination of stability and low weight. The fitted V-brake system ensures reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions.

The bike is fitted with an 8-speed Shimano RD-M310 derailleur, operated via the Shimano ST-TX800 shift lever. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M310 in the Topswing version with a diameter of 31.8 mm. These components offer precise and smooth shifting performance.

The SR Suntour NEX fork, with 63 mm of travel, provides additional comfort on uneven trails. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a 15-lux LED front light and an ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-D rear light, which is powered by 6V AC. This lighting system enhances safety when cycling at dusk or in the dark.

The bike is fitted with CUBE PP trekking pedals, which provide a secure grip. The Shimano FC-TX801 crankset, featuring 48x38x28T chainrings and a 175 mm length, together with the Shimano CS-HG200 cassette (12-32T) and the KMC Z72 chain form a robust and efficient drivetrain.

The handlebars – a CUBE Comfort Trail Bar with a width of 660 mm – and the CUBE Performance grips ensure comfortable handling. The HL Adjustable stem, with a diameter of 31.8 mm, allows for individual adjustment of the handlebar position. The headset is a semi-integrated CUBE H863 with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The CUBE SX24 rims with 36 spokes are specially designed for V-brakes, whilst the CUBE Impac Streetpac tyres in size 42-622 ensure good traction and durability. The front hub is a Shimano DH-C3000 hub dynamo and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-TX800, both with a Nuta mount.

The Natural Fit Sequence Comfort saddle and the CUBE Performance seatpost, with a diameter of 27.2 mm, offer a high level of comfort. The saddle is secured using a CUBE Screwlock clamp with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

Additional features such as the ACID 53 BB-Mount mudguards, the CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand and the ACID Semi-Integrated Carrier, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter, round off the overall package and make the “Touring darkred’n’red” an ideal companion for long tours and everyday use.
