The “Kathmandu Hybrid ONE 500 iridium’n’black” model from Cube, released in 2021, is a versatile e-bike characterised by its high-quality components and robust construction. The price for this model is 2,649 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and utilises Gravity Casting Technology, ensuring high stability and low weight. The Efficient Comfort Geometry and the tapered head tube contribute to a comfortable riding experience, whilst the Full Integrated Battery and the Integrated Carrier 2.0 enhance the bike’s aesthetic and functional appeal. The bike’s total weight is 25 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200) with 180 mm discs on both the front and rear wheels. The drivetrain is a Shimano RD-M3100-SGS 9-speed system, controlled via the Shimano SL-M2010-9R Rapidfire-Plus shifter. The SR Suntour XCM ATB coil fork, with its 100 mm travel, offers additional comfort on uneven terrain.

The lighting system comprises a CUBE Shiny 50 Lux front light and a CUBE Edge IC 2.0 rear light, both powered by 12V DC. The pedals are ACID PP trekking models. The drivetrain consists of an ACID E-Crank crankset with 38 teeth and a KMC X9 chain, combined with a Shimano CS-HG201 cassette (11-36T).

The headset varies depending on frame size, with sizes M and L using the ACROS AZF-1039, whilst size EE uses the ACROS AZX-1041 BlockLock.

The rims are CUBE EX23, tubeless-ready and have 36 holes. The tyres are Schwalbe Big Ben Performance models (55-622). The hubs are also from Shimano (HB-TX505 at the front and FH-TX505 at the rear), both featuring QR and CentreLock.

The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence Comfort, mounted on a CUBE Suspension seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm. The saddle is clamped using the CUBE Varioclose with a diameter of 34.9 mm. Mudguards are also fitted (ACID 65), as are a CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand and a CUBE Integrated Carrier 2.0 luggage rack, which is compatible with both CUBE adapters and SnapIt.

The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Drive Unit Performance CX Generation 4 motor (85 Nm) with an output of 250 watts. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube 500, and the display is the Bosch Purion model, which allows for simple and intuitive operation.
