Cube Compact Hybrid green´n´green

The “Compact Hybrid green’n’green” model from Cube, released in 2021, is a versatile e-bike designed for urban use. The price for this model is 2549 EUR.

The bike’s frame is made from Superlite aluminium and features Comfort Ride geometry. It has a semi-integrated luggage rack and is front-carrier ready. The bike weighs 23 kg, which makes it relatively light for an e-bike despite its robust build.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors. The gear lever is a Shimano Nexus SL-C7000-5, which offers simple and reliable gear-changing performance. The bike’s fork is also made of aluminium, which helps to reduce weight.

The bike’s lighting comprises a Herrmans H-Black MR4 front light, which operates at a voltage of 6–12V DC, and an ACID Pro E-Rear Mudguard rear light. The crankset consists of an ACID E-Crank with 44 teeth and a length of 165 mm. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z610 chain.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Trail Bars with a 15-degree backshift and a width of 720 mm, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The grips are RFR Comfort grips, which offer additional comfort. The stem is a BySchulz Speedlifter Twist Pro SDS T15, which allows for easy adjustment of the handlebar height. The headset is a Cube H835D3, semi-integrated and featuring sealed bearings.

The rims are CUBE EX30 with 32 spokes; they are disc brake-compatible and tubeless-ready. The tyres are Schwalbe Super Moto-X with Double Defense technology and a size of 62-406, ensuring excellent road holding. The front hub is a Shimano HB-TX505 with a quick-release mechanism and Centre Lock brake disc mount, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus SG-C7000-5D with 5 speeds and a Nuta mount.

The saddle is a Natural Fit Nuance Lite, mounted on a Newmen Evolution seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. The saddle is clamped in place using a CUBE Varioclose with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The bike is also fitted with ACID 75 mudguards to protect against splashes.

Additional functionality is provided by the CUBE CentreStand and the ACID 20" Semi-Integrated Carrier, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter. Power is provided by a Bosch Drive Unit Active Plus Generation 3 motor with 50 Nm of torque and an output of 250 watts. The battery is a Bosch PowerPack 500, which ensures a long-lasting power supply. The display is a Bosch Purion, which clearly shows all the important information.
