Cube Aim blue´n´orange

The "Aim blue'n'orange" model from Cube, released in 2021, offers good value for money for beginners and leisure cyclists. Priced at 429 EUR, it is aimed at price-conscious buyers who nevertheless value quality and functionality.

The bike’s frame is made from Aluminium Lite and is manufactured using Advanced Mechanical Forming (AMF) technology, which ensures high stability whilst keeping the weight low. The bike weighs a total of 14 kg and features internal cable routing, which ensures a tidy appearance and provides additional protection for the cables. Furthermore, the frame is designed for easy fitting of a kickstand (Easy Mount Kickstand Ready).

The Aim blue’n’orange is fitted with Tektro MD-280 mechanical disc brakes, featuring 160 mm brake discs at the front and rear, which deliver reliable braking performance in a wide range of conditions. The gear system consists of an 8-speed Shimano Tourney RD-TX800, operated via Shimano ST-TX800 EZ Fire Plus shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-TY700-TS6 Topswing with a 31.8 mm clamp.

Comfort and control are ensured by the SR Suntour XCE suspension fork with 100 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs bumps on rough terrain. The pedals are CUBE PP MTB, robust and suitable for off-road use. The crankset is a Shimano FC-TY501 with three chainrings (42x34x24T) and a length of 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200 with a 12–32T range, and the drivetrain is completed by a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are 680 mm wide CUBE Rise Trail Bars, which, together with the CUBE Performance grips, provide a comfortable riding experience. The stem is a CUBE Performance Stem with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a semi-integrated CUBE FPH863.

The rims are CUBE GE803, 32H, disc, and, in combination with the CUBE IMPAC Smartpac tyres (2.1 width), offer good traction and durability. The front and rear hubs are CUBE Alloy Light with quick-release skewers and 6-bolt mounting.

The saddle is a Natural Fit Venec Lite, mounted on a CUBE Performance seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. The saddle is clamped in place using a CUBE Varioclose clamp with a diameter of 31.8 mm.
