Conway Xyron S 227

The 2021 Xyron S 227 model from Conway is a technically advanced e-bike that is suitable for both challenging trails and everyday use. The frame is made from an aluminium CONWAY Fully Intube Bosch, which not only gives the bike a sturdy structure but also increases the maximum load capacity to 130 kg.

Braking performance is provided by TEKTRO ‘HD-M735’ brakes with a 4/2-piston system. The brake levers are also from TEKTRO and, in combination with the brake discs – which have a diameter of 203 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear – provide reliable braking power. Gear changes are handled by the SHIMANO “Deore RD-M5120 Shadow Plus” 10-speed system, whilst the shift levers are SHIMANO “Deore SL-M4100”.

Suspension is provided by a SUNTOUR “XCR34 Air LOR” fork with 140 mm of travel and a FOX “Float DPS” shock absorber, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. Power is provided by a 4th-generation BOSCH “Performance CX” mid-drive motor with 36 V and 250 W. The BOSCH lithium-ion battery, with a capacity of 500 Wh, provides sufficient power for longer rides. The BOSCH “Purion” display allows for easy control of the four assistance levels as well as the use of the push assist.

The crankset is a MIRANDA “Epsilon” with a length of 165 mm and a SHIMANO “CS-M4100” chainring featuring 11–46 teeth. The handlebars are CONWAY “Low Rizer” with a diameter of 35 mm and a width of 780 mm, complemented by CONWAY “Sport fix” grips and a CONWAY stem measuring 35 mm in length. The headset is available in sizes ZS44/ZS56.

The MACH1 “Trucky 30” rims are fitted with SCHWALBE “Nobby Nic” tyres, which are foldable at both the front and rear and have the size 65-584. The hubs are from KT and feature a 6-bolt system; the front hub measures 15 x 110 mm and the rear hub 12 x 148 mm. The spokes are made of stainless steel, which provides additional stability.

The saddle is a CONWAY “1489 sport light”, mounted on a CONTEC “Drop - A - Gogo” seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Priced at EUR 3,499, the Xyron S 227 offers a balanced combination of performance and features that appeals to both ambitious cyclists and occasional riders.
