Conway WME 8.9

The Conway WME 8.9, launched in 2024, is a high-performance trail bike featuring high-quality components and a modern design. The bike’s frame is a CONWAY Fully Trail Carbon Full Suspension measuring 43 cm, ensuring a lightweight yet robust construction. The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 14 kg.

The WME 8.9’s braking system is fitted with TRP “DH-R EVO HD-M846” 4-piston brakes, which deliver excellent braking performance at both the front and rear. The front brake disc measures 203 mm and the rear 180 mm; both are TRP “RS01E” models. The drivetrain consists of a 12-speed SRAM “X0 AXS” groupset with the SRAM “Eagle AXS” shifter, which enables precise and reliable gear selection.

The bike’s suspension is provided by the FOX “Factory 36 Float” fork with 150 mm of travel and the FOX “Factory Float X” rear shock, also with 150 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. The drivetrain is a SRAM “XX1 Eagle” in the Rainbow version, complemented by a SRAM “X01 Eagle DUB” crankset with 32 teeth.

The handlebars are RACEFACE “Next R Carbon” with a diameter of 35 mm and a width of 800 mm, whilst the stem is a RACEFACE “Turbine R 35” with a length of 32 mm. The MAVIC rims and spokes, together with the SCHWALBE tyres – “Magic Mary” at the front and “Big Betty EVO” at the rear – ensure stability and grip on a wide variety of surfaces.

Other features include the ROCKSHOX “Reverb AXS” seatpost, with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a travel of 125 mm, and the FIZIK “Alpace X5” saddle, which offers comfort on longer rides. The bike’s stack is 609 mm, the seat tube length is 430 mm and the wheelbase is 1202 mm, providing a balanced geometry for efficient riding. The WME 8.9 is priced at 7,999 EUR, making it an attractive option for discerning riders who value quality and performance.
