Conway RLC 4.9

The "RLC 4.9" model from Conway, released in 2024, is a high-quality carbon hardtail bike priced at 2,699 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from CONWAY carbon and, with a seat tube length of 390 mm and a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, offers a sporty geometry designed for agility and efficiency. Weighing just 11 kg, the bike is lightweight yet robust enough to support a maximum rider weight of up to 130 kg.

The RLC 4.9 is fitted with SHIMANO “BR-MT410” brakes, operated by SHIMANO “BL-M4100” brake levers. Braking performance is supported by SHIMANO “SM-RT30” brake discs, with a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, ensuring reliable deceleration. The 12-speed SHIMANO “XT” Mix groupset offers a wide range of gears to suit a variety of terrain conditions.

Suspension is provided by the ROCKSHOX “Reba RL” fork with 100 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs shocks and thus enhances riding comfort. The crankset consists of the SHIMANO “Deore XT FC-M8100” model with Boost technology and a 32-tooth chainring.

The LEVEL 9 “Flat Bar” handlebars, with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 740 mm, allow for precise control, whilst the SQlab “70X” grips ensure comfort. The stem is also from LEVEL 9 and measures 60 mm in length. The RODI “Ryot 25” rims are fitted with SCHWALBE “Racing Ray” EVO Addix tyres in size 60-622, which are mounted on both the front and rear wheels and stand out for their foldability. The hubs are by SHIMANO, with the “HB-MT410” model at the front and the “FH-MT410” at the rear, ensuring a stable wheel set-up.

The spec is rounded off by the CONWAY “1489 sport light” saddle, which is mounted on a LEVEL 9 “Race” seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm. The bike’s geometry is defined by a stack of 609 mm, a top tube length of 580 mm and a wheelbase of 1079 mm, all of which contribute to well-balanced performance. The RLC 4.9 thus offers a well-thought-out combination of lightweight construction, stability and performance for discerning mountain bikers.
