Conway MS 8.9

The "MS 8.9" model from Conway, released in 2024, is an aluminium hardtail bike featuring a 41 cm frame and a maximum permissible weight of 130 kg. The bike weighs a total of 14 kg and offers a solid spec for ambitious cyclists. Highlights include the SHIMANO “BR-MT200” brakes and the matching “BL-MT200” brake levers, which ensure reliable braking performance. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, ensuring effective deceleration.

The bike’s drivetrain consists of a 12-speed SHIMANO “Deore” system with the “Deore SL-M6100” shifter, which enables precise gear changes. The stem also measures 31.8 mm in diameter and is 70 mm long. The steering system is completed by a ZS44 / ZS56 headset with a tapered steerer tube.

The RODI “Blackrock 23” rims and the WTB “Ranger” tyres in size 57-622 contribute to stability and grip. The hubs are from SHIMANO: the “HB-TX505” QR at the front and the “FH-MT401” QR at the rear, connected by black steel spokes. The SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo” saddle ensures comfort on longer rides, whilst the CONWAY Patent seatpost, with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 300 mm, allows for individual adjustment.

The bike’s geometry is defined by a stack height of 634 mm, a seat tube length of 406 mm, a top tube length of 570 mm and a seat tube angle of 72 degrees. The head tube measures 120 mm, the chainstays are 448 mm long, the standover height is 771 mm and the wheelbase is 1069 mm. Priced at 999 EUR, the Conway MS 8.9 offers an attractive package for cyclists looking for a good balance between performance and cost.
