Conway MC 5.9

Conway’s “MC 5.9” model from 2024 is a sturdy aluminium hardtail bike which, at a price of 999 EUR, represents an attractive option for budget-conscious cyclists. The frame is made of aluminium and is available in a 46 cm size, offering a good balance between stability and weight. With a total weight of 16 kg and a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, the bike is robust enough for a wide range of uses.

The MC 5.9’s braking system consists of TEKTRO “HD-M275” disc brakes, with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM “SX”, operated by a SRAM “SX Eagle Trigger” shifter, which enables precise and efficient gear selection. The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM “SX Eagle” crankset, featuring a 32-tooth chainring and an 11–50-tooth cassette.

The RST “Blaze RLO” fork offers 100 mm of travel, providing sufficient damping on uneven terrain. The bike’s lighting comprises the BÜCHEL “Sport ECO” front light and the HERRMANS “H-Trace Mini” rear light with parking light function, powered by a SHIMANO “DH3D37” QR hub dynamo, ensuring safety in the dark.

The bike is fitted with robust RODI “Blackrock 23” rims and IMPAC “Smartpac” tyres, which offer good grip even on more challenging terrain. The handlebars are CONWAY risers with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, combined with CONWAY “Sport” grips and a 70 mm stem. The SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo” saddle ensures comfort on longer rides, supported by a CONWAY Patent seatpost.

Additional features such as SKS “Velo 65 Mountain” mudguards and a Conway Alloy kickstand round off the overall package. The bike has geometry measurements including a stack of 634 mm, a seat tube length of 457 mm and a wheelbase of 1089 mm, promising a balanced riding position and good handling characteristics.
