Conway eWME 529 MX

The 2021 eWME 529 MX model from Conway is a versatile e-mountain bike that impresses with its combination of high-quality components and robust construction. The frame is made from CONWAY Fully Intube Shimano aluminium, which not only ensures stability but also supports the maximum permissible weight of 130 kg.

SHIMANO ‘SLX BR-M7120’ 4-piston brakes are fitted to ensure reliable braking performance, complemented by SHIMANO ‘SLX BL-M7100’ brake levers. The brake discs measure 203 mm at both the front and rear, with the rear disc fitted with a magnet. Gear changes are handled by a SHIMANO “Deore XT RD-M8100” Shadow Plus system with 12 speeds, controlled by the SHIMANO “Deore SL-M6100” shift lever.

The suspension comprises a ROCKSHOX “Lyrik Select” fork with 170 mm of travel and a ROCKSHOX “Super Deluxe Select R” rear shock, ensuring excellent suspension performance. The drivetrain is assisted by a SHIMANO “NEW” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W, powered by a SHIMANO lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 630 Wh. The SHIMANO “SC-EM800” display offers three assistance levels and a push-assist function.

The spec is rounded off by a RACEFACE “Aeffect R” handlebar with a diameter of 35 mm and a width of 780 mm, along with matching RACEFACE “Half Nelson” grips and a RACEFACE “Aeffect R” stem. The FIZIK “Aidon” saddle in Regular 145 ensures comfort, whilst the CONTEC “Drop - A - Gogo” seatpost, with a diameter of 31.6 mm, provides additional adjustment options.

The wheelsets consist of DT SWISS “Spline H1900” rims – 29-inch at the front and 27.5-inch at the rear – fitted with SCHWALBE tyres: the “Magic Mary” Soft at the front and the “Hans Dampf” Spgrip at the rear. The hubs are also from DT SWISS, matching the spokes.

Priced at 5499 EUR, the eWME 529 MX offers a good balance between performance and price, making it ideal for challenging off-road riding and long tours.
