Conway Cairon TR 3.8 Wave

Conway’s “Cairon TR 3.8 Wave” model from 2024 is a versatile e-bike featuring well-thought-out specifications and an attractive design. The frame is made of aluminium and, in the Wave version, is available in a 50 cm frame size, which makes it easy to mount. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 29 kg.

Braking performance is provided by TEKTRO “HD-T280” disc brakes, fitted with corresponding brake discs at both the front and rear: 180 mm in diameter at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The gear system is an 8-speed SHIMANO “Nexus” RBN, operated via the SHIMANO “Alfine SL-S503” gear lever. The RST “Blaze ML” front fork offers 80 mm of travel, providing additional comfort on uneven terrain.

Lighting is provided by the CONTEC “DLUX 50 E+” front light and the CONTEC “CTL 335 E” rear light with brake light function. Power is provided by a third-generation BOSCH “Active Line PLUS” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W, powered by a BOSCH “Powertube 625” battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The BOSCH “Intuvia” display offers four assistance levels as well as a push assist function.

Other features include the HUMPERT “Ergotec Ladytown” handlebars and the adjustable HUMPERT “Ergotec Octopus” stem, which ensure an ergonomic riding position. The CONTINENTAL “Contact Urban” tyres in size 50-622 offer good grip and are fitted with reflective strips to increase visibility. The SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Moderat Ergo” saddle and the HUMPERT “Ergotec SP10” seatpost contribute to a comfortable ride.

Practical features such as the ATRAN “Cummute Pro” luggage rack with spring-loaded flap, the AXA “Bock XXL” lock and the URSUS “Wave” kickstand round off the package. The HESLING “Move” chain guard and the SKS “A60S” plastic mudguards offer additional protection against dirt and wet conditions. Priced at 3399 EUR, the “Cairon TR 3.8 Wave” offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and functionality for urban use and beyond.
