Cannondale Treadwell Neo 2 EQ Remixte

The "Treadwell Neo 2 EQ Remixte" model from Cannondale, released in 2024, is a versatile and modern e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and high-quality build. Priced at EUR 1,999, this model offers excellent value for money.

The frame of the Treadwell Neo 2 EQ Remixte is made from SmartForm C3 Alloy and features a comfortable Low-Step Ride-Easy geometry. The frame incorporates an internal downtube battery, hidden cable routing and an Urban Armor Frame Bumper, which provide additional protection. The flat-mounted disc brakes complete the design.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also by Tektro and offer reliable and controlled braking power. The gear system consists of a microSHIFT M26S rear derailleur and an 8-speed shifter, also by microSHIFT. The combination of a Samox crankset with 38 teeth and a Sunrace cassette (11–34, 8-speed) ensures efficient power transfer.

The fork is also made from SmartForm C3 Alloy and features a 1-1/8" steerer tube, OutFront offset, as well as flat-mount disc brake mounts and brackets for a luggage rack and mudguards. The lighting comprises Herrmans front and rear lights, which ensure good visibility in road traffic.

Additional comfort is provided by Cannondale Comfort pedals, Cannondale Comfort grips and a Cannondale Treadwell saddle, 170 mm wide with steel struts. The handlebars are Cannondale Cruise Control Risers made from 6061 alloy, 740 mm wide with a 15-degree backsweep. The stem is a Cannondale 3 with Intellimount and a high, direct light mount.

The wheelsets consist of Cannondale Disc rims with double walls and eyelets, fitted with Maxxis DTR-1 tyres (650b x 47c). The front hub is a sealed alloy disc hub with a quick-release mechanism, whilst the rear features a Hyena MRC-250 250W motor. The stainless steel spokes (14g) contribute to the stability and durability of the wheels.

At the heart of the drive system is the Hyena MRC-250 250W rear hub motor, powered by a 250 Wh internal downtube battery. The handlebar-mounted Hyena HMI display offers simple operation, whilst the smartphone app, combined with the Intellimount stem, provides additional connectivity. The charger has an output of 2A.

Additional features include alloy mudguards and a front luggage rack, which make the Treadwell Neo 2 EQ Remix a practical companion for everyday urban life. Overall, this e-bike offers a successful combination of comfort, performance and functionality.
