Cannondale Treadwell 2

The 2024 Cannondale Treadwell 2 is a versatile bike that stands out for its well-thought-out design and high-quality components. The frame is made from SmartForm C3 Alloy and features Ride-Easy low-standover geometry, which makes getting on and off the bike easier. In addition, the frame features Straightshot concealed cable routing, Urban Armor frame protectors and mounting points for a luggage rack and mudguards. The price for this model is 899 EUR.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Tektro and offer reliable and precise control. The gear system is provided by the microSHIFT Advent system, which is fitted with a 9-speed shifter and a 9-speed cassette (11–42).

The fork is also made from SmartForm C3 Alloy and features a 1-1/8" head tube and an OutFront offset. It is also fitted with mounting points for mudguards and a luggage rack. The bottom bracket is a cartridge model with a square taper, whilst the Prowheel crankset comes with a 38T chainring. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X9 chain.

The Treadwell 2’s handlebars are Cannondale Cruise Control risers made from 6061 aluminium, with a width of 740 mm and a 15° backsweep, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The grips are Cannondale Comfort models, which offer additional comfort. The stem is a Cannondale 3 with Intellimount and a 31.8 mm clamp.

The wheelsets consist of double-eyelet Cannondale rims with 32 stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Maxxis DTR-1 in size 650bx47c, fitted to both the front and rear. Both the front and rear hubs are made of sealed aluminium and feature a 5 mm Hex Security quick-release axle.

The saddle is a Cannondale Treadwell model with steel rails and a width of 170 mm, whilst the seatpost is made from 6061 aluminium and measures 31.6 x 350 mm.

In terms of geometry, the Treadwell 2 offers a reach of 368 mm, a stack of 550 mm, a seat tube length of 387 mm and a top tube length of 557 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees, as is the seat tube angle. The head tube is 135 mm long, the chainstay length is 460 mm and the fork offset is 55 mm. The standover height is 665 mm and the wheelbase measures 1059 mm in total.
