Cannondale Synapse Carbon 2 RL

The 2024 Cannondale Synapse Carbon 2 RL is a high-quality road bike designed for discerning riders. The price for this model is €4,199.

At the heart of the bike is the Synapse Carbon frame, which is equipped with SmartSense technology. The frame features a Proportional Response design, which is size-specific, and is fitted with a BSA threaded bottom bracket, flat-mount brakes and a 12x142 mm thru-axle. The fork is also made from Synapse Carbon and features an integrated crown, a size-specific design, a 12x100 mm thru-axle, internal cable routing and concealed mudguard mounts.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm RT800 rotors at the front and rear. The brake levers are also Shimano Ultegra and hydraulic. The drivetrain comprises a Shimano Ultegra GS front derailleur, shift levers and an 11-speed cassette (11-34). Power is transmitted via a Shimano HG701 chain.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano Ultegra crankset (50/34) and a Shimano R60 BSA bottom bracket. The handlebars are a Cannondale 2 model made from 7050 aluminium with a compact shape, whilst the stem is made from 6061 aluminium and has a 7-degree angle. The headset is an integrated Synapse model with sealed bearings.

The wheels consist of Fulcrum Rapid Red 900 rims and hubs with stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Vittoria Rubino Pro Bright Black in size 700x30c with reflective elements. The saddle is a Fizik Aliante Delta with S-Alloy rails, and the seatpost is a Cannondale 3 SmartSense made from 6061 aluminium, which is either 350 mm or 400 mm long depending on the frame size.

Additional features of the Synapse Carbon 2 RL include SmartSense front and rear lights with radar support. Pedals are not included with this model. The gross weight of the bike is 32,000 g.
