Cannondale Synapse Carbon 1 RLE

The Cannondale Synapse Carbon 1 RLE from 2024 is a high-quality road bike designed for demanding riders. With a price tag of EUR 8999, it offers a wide range of first-class technical features and well thought-out equipment.

The frame of the Synapse Carbon 1 RLE is made of Synapse Carbon and is SmartSense-capable. The Proportional Response Design ensures that the frame geometry is adapted to the respective frame size, which enables optimum riding performance. The frame has a BSA threaded bottom bracket, flat-mount brake mounts and a 12x142mm thru axle.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9270 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm RT900 rotors front and rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9270 and offer precise and reliable brake power transmission. Shifting is provided by the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9250 system, which is equipped with 24 gears and a wireless shift lever (2x12). The front derailleur is also a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9250.

The fork is made from Synapse Carbon and features an integrated headset, proportional response design, a 12x100mm thru-axle, internal cable routing and hidden mudguard mounts. For lighting, the bike is equipped with a SmartSense front light and a SmartSense rear light with radar.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano Dura-Ace R9100 BSA, and the crankset consists of a Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 with a gear ratio of 50/34. The cassette is a Shimano Dura-Ace R9100 with an 11-34 gradation and 12 gears.

The handlebars are a carbon HollowGram SAVE SystemBar with an 8-degree tilt adjustment, while the grips are made of Fabric Knurl Bar Tape. The stem is a HollowGram SAVE made of aluminium with a tilt angle of -6°. The headset system is an integrated Synapse Carbon Sealed Bearing with a size of 1-1/4"-1-1/8".

The rims are HollowGram 45 SL KNØT made of carbon, tubeless-ready and have a depth of 45mm and an inner width of 21mm. The front hub is a HollowGram KNØT with sealed bearings and a 12x100mm centrelock mount, while the rear hub is also a HollowGram KNØT with DT Swiss 240 internals and a 12x142mm centrelock mount. The spokes are DT Swiss Aerolite Straight-Pull.

The tyres are Vittoria Corsa tan wall in size 700x30c front and rear. The saddle is a Fizik Tempo Argo R3 with a width of 150mm and K:ium rails. The seatpost is a HollowGram SAVE Carbon SmartSense with the dimensions 27.2x350mm for frame sizes 48-56 and 400mm for sizes 58-61.
