Cannondale Quick CX 3

The 2024 "Quick CX 3" model from Cannondale is a versatile and well-equipped bike that is ideal for a variety of riding conditions. At a price of EUR 899, it offers a solid combination of performance and comfort.

The frame of the Quick CX 3 is made of SmartForm C3 Alloy and is equipped with SAVE technology, which provides optimised damping. The frame has a tapered head tube and straightshot cable routing for a tidy appearance. There are also attachment points for pannier racks and mudguards as well as 360° reflectivity, which increases visibility in low light conditions.

For the brakes, Cannondale uses hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro: the HD-T275 model at the front and the HD-R280 model at the rear, both with 160 mm brake discs. The brake levers are also from Tektro and offer reliable braking performance in a wide range of conditions.

The gearing of the Quick CX 3 consists of components from the Shimano Acera series. The gear lever is a Shimano ST-EF505 with 8 gears and the front derailleur is a Shimano Tourney with a 31.8 mm clamp. A total of 16 gears are available to the rider, enabling precise and smooth shifting performance.

The bike's suspension fork is a Suntour NEX-E25 with a suspension travel of 63 mm and a lockout function, which ensures more efficient power transmission on flat roads if required. The crankset is also from Shimano Tourney and offers a gear ratio of 46/30. The bottom bracket is a cartridge model with a square cone mount.

The Quick CX 3 has Cannondale platform pedals and a drivetrain with a KMC X8 chain. The cassette is a Sunrace model with a gradation of 11-34 teeth and 8 gears.

The handlebars are made of Cannondale Riser 6061 aluminium, have a width of 700 mm, a rise of 25 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Cannondale Dual-Density, which provide additional comfort. The stem is a Cannondale 3 with Intellimount and a 31.8 mm clamp.

The rims of the Quick CX 3 are DC 4.0 models with double walls and eyelets, fitted with 32 stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Vittoria Terreno Dry in size 700 x 40 mm with reflective strips for increased visibility. The hubs are made of sealed aluminium and have quick release skewers.

The saddle is a Cannondale Fitness Ergo Double Density, which together with the 6061 aluminium seat post (27.2 x 350 mm) ensures a high level of comfort.

With a gross weight of 36 kg, the Quick CX 3 offers a well thought-out geometry with a reach of 402 mm, a stack of 590 mm, a seat tube length of 400 mm and a top tube length of 582 mm. The head tube angle is 69 degrees, the seat tube angle is 73 degrees and the head tube length is 108 mm. The chainstay length is 450 mm, the fork pre-bend is 55 mm and the standover height is 725 mm. The total wheelbase is 1108 mm.

The Cannondale Quick CX 3 is therefore a well-equipped bike that is suitable for everyday use as well as for longer tours and impresses with its robust construction and versatile equipment.
