Cannondale Quick 5

The "Quick 5" model from the Cannondale brand from 2024 is a versatile and functional bike designed for urban use and fitness rides. The price of this model is EUR 799. The frame is made of SmartForm C3 Alloy and is equipped with SAVE technology, which provides additional comfort. The frame has a tapered head tube, Straightshot hidden cable routing and is designed for flat-mount disc brakes. It also has mounts for pannier racks and mudguards as well as 360° reflectivity for increased visibility in traffic.

The brakes are mechanical disc brakes from Promax with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Promax, model BL42. The shifting system consists of a Shimano Tourney drivetrain with 14 gears, controlled by Shimano M315 Rapidfire Plus shifters. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Tourney with a 31.8 mm clamp.

The fork of the Quick 5 is made of chromoly and has a 1-1/8" head tube diameter and OutFront offset for better control. It is also designed for flat-mount disc brakes and has additional mounting points on the fork legs. The bottom bracket is a cartridge model with square taper, and the crankset is a Shimano Tourney with 46/30 teeth. The sprocket is a Shimano HG200 with a gradation of 12-32 teeth and the drive is provided by a KMC Z7 chain.

The handlebars are made of double-butted 6061 aluminium with a width of 640 mm, a rise of 25 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are ergonomic Cannondale Ergo Fitness models. The stem is also made of 6061 aluminium and has an angle of 8 degrees.

The rims of the Quick 5 are Cannondale disc models with double eyelets and 32 spoke holes. The tyres are Kenda Kwest in size 700 x 35c with K-Guard puncture protection and reflective strips for better visibility. The hubs are Shimano HB-TX505 at the front and FH-TY505 at the rear, both equipped with quick releases. The spokes are made of stainless steel with a thickness of 14g.

The saddle is an ergonomic model from Cannondale, the Fitness Ergo Double Density, and the seat post is made of 6061 aluminium measuring 27.2 x 350 mm. Overall, the Cannondale Quick 5 offers a well thought-out package of components and features that make it a reliable companion for everyday use and fitness rides.
