Cannondale Adventure 2

The 2024 Cannondale Adventure 2 is a versatile and comfortable bike that’s ideal for daily commuting and leisurely rides. Priced at 699 EUR, it offers excellent value for money.

The Adventure 2’s frame is made from SmartForm C3 aluminium and features SAVE micro-suspension, which provides extra comfort. The frame features a low-step-thru design, making it easier to get on and off the bike. It also has a tapered head tube, hidden cable routing (Straightshot hidden cable routing) and mounts for a luggage rack and mudguards.

Suspension is provided by the Suntour NEX-E25 suspension fork with 50 mm of travel. This fork is fitted with a special crown and a 1-1/8" head tube, which ensures additional stability.

The bike’s brakes are mechanical disc brakes from Tektro, with 160 mm rotors at the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Tektro and are designed as 4-finger levers, which allow for precise modulation of braking force.

The Adventure 2’s gear system consists of a microSHIFT M26S derailleur and a microSHIFT MS25 shifter, which together offer 7 gears. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC Z7 chain. The Prowheel crankset, featuring a 38-tooth chainring, and the Sunrace cassette with an 11–34 tooth range provide a wide gear ratio range.

The bike’s handlebars are Cannondale risers made from 6061 aluminium, with a width of 685 mm, a rise of 60 mm and a backsweep of 15 degrees. The grips are Cannondale dual-density grips, which offer extra comfort. The stem is also made from 6061 aluminium and has an 8-degree angle.

The wheelsets consist of Cannondale double-walled disc rims with eyelets, laced with 32 spokes per wheel. The hubs are from Formula (DC-1420 at the front and DC-27A at the rear) and are fitted with quick-release mechanisms. The tyres are Goodyear Transit Tour in size 27.5 x 2.0", which provide a good balance of comfort and rolling resistance.

The saddle is a Cannondale Ergo Comfort model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost measuring 27.2 x 350 mm.

With a gross weight of 46 kg, the Adventure 2 offers a stable and robust build. The frame geometry comprises a reach of 374 mm, a stack of 635 mm, a seat tube length of 510 mm, a top tube length of 605 mm, a head tube angle of 69 degrees, a seat tube angle of 70 degrees, a head tube length of 165 mm, a chainstay length of 465 mm, a fork offset of 45 mm, a top tube height of 776 mm and a wheelbase of 1100 mm.
