BH Bikes ATOM 29

The "ATOM 29" model from BH Bikes, launched in 2021, is a versatile e-mountain bike that stands out for its robust construction and high-quality components. The frame is made from a lightweight yet sturdy 29-inch MTB alloy and features internal cable routing, which ensures a clean, tidy look. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 165 kg, enabling it to carry heavy loads.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano MT200 braking system, which features 180 mm disc brakes at both the front and rear for reliable braking performance. The brake levers are also from Shimano and offer precise control. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Alivio 9-speed system, which, in combination with the Shimano Alivio shifter, guarantees smooth gear changes. The drivetrain is complemented by the Shimano HG53 chain.

The ATOM 29’s suspension fork offers 100 mm of travel, providing sufficient damping on uneven terrain. The crankset is from FSA and features a 36T-170mm chainring. The cassette is a Shimano CSHG201 9-speed (11-36T), which offers a wide gear range.

The handlebars are BH MTB Alloy Riser with a width of 780 mm, which allows for good control and stability. The grips are BH Perform with Ringlock, ensuring a secure grip. The stem is a BH Ahead model, whilst the headset is tapered and fitted with an adapter.

The wheels feature double-walled aluminium rims fitted with Maxxis Forekaster TPI60 tyres in the size 29" x 2.35". This combination offers high stability and traction on various surfaces. The spokes are made of stainless steel.

The saddle is a Prologo Proxim W350 Stn, mounted on a 31.6 mm aluminium seatpost. The saddle is clamped in place using a quick-release mechanism, allowing for easy adjustment.

Power is provided by a BH 1E-36V motor, powered by a 500 Wh battery. The BH X Display Lite clearly shows all the key information.

The ATOM 29 has a reach of 399 mm, a stack of 657 mm and a seat tube length of 400 mm. Priced at 2049 EUR, this model offers a good balance between performance and price, making it ideal for beginners and advanced riders alike.
